The Supreme Court has now said that local governments can use the power of eminent domain to seize property and hand it over to private properties.

Don’t want to sell the farm to the developer who wants to make it into a subdivision? Too bad! All they need to do is bribe enough local officials, and voila! It’s theirs!

Oh, of course they’ll pay you for it. You can probably be sure that, since you’re being forced to sell it, they’ll take care to make sure you get fair market value, right? Right?

Yes, people who plod along Adams eastward from Union Station, Eric Sink has something to say:

When you are in an airport terminal or concourse, your primary goal (aside from safety, obviously), should be to not annoy the pathologically impatient people like me. There are three ways you can achieve this:

  • Walk quickly.
  • Walk in a straight line.
  • Watch where you are walking.

I think you all should pretend that Adams between Union Station and LaSalle is one big airport concourse.
